Terms and conditions
Last updated: 24 October 2026
1. Who we are and what we sell
Veryfy is a service of Veryfy di RM, with registered office at Via Angelo Brofferio 181, Asti (AT), VAT number (Partita IVA) 01627330051, which generates paid company verification reports based on public data (Registro Imprese [Italian Business Register], filed financial statements, credit risk indicators). Purchasing a report constitutes acceptance of these terms.
2. Declared purpose and user responsibility
Before each company verification the user declares the purpose of the request (invoicing, contract, debt recovery, assessment of an equity stake, or verification of their own company). This declaration is a condition of purchase: the user warrants that they have a legitimate and concrete interest in verifying the company indicated, and that they will not use the service for purposes other than these.
With the purpose "My company: I want to see what banks and suppliers see when they check it" the user declares that the VAT number indicated is that of their own company, or of a company for which they are authorised to act. Veryfy does not verify the identity of the user nor the ownership of the VAT number: the declaration is made under the responsibility of the person making it.
When the verification concerns a natural person (e.g. a professional before entrusting them with an assignment, a guarantor of a contract, a partner or director in the context of corporate due diligence, a tenant before renting property to them), the declaration of purpose is more stringent: before the search the user must indicate which of the following is the concrete purpose of the request:
- verification of a professional or contractual relationship in progress or to be established with the person indicated;
- verification of a guarantor, surety or person called upon to provide a personal guarantee;
- due diligence on a partner or director, within an ongoing corporate or commercial transaction;
- verification of a tenant, before entering into a lease agreement (residential or commercial);
- verification on myself: I want to see what a third party sees when they check public data in my name.
The following are expressly excluded from the service, and the user declares that they do not pursue them: verification of a third party out of personal curiosity, verification of a partner or former partner, handling of a private dispute not linked to a professional or contractual relationship, and any form of surveillance or monitoring of a person outside a declared professional, contractual or corporate relationship. The user further warrants that they will process the personal data of the verified person in compliance with applicable law and solely for the declared purpose.
Verification of your own data. Anyone who selects the purpose "Verification on myself" (or, for a company, "My company") declares that the tax code (or VAT number) entered is their own: Veryfy does not verify the identity of the user and the declaration is made under their responsibility. In this case Veryfy displays exclusively public-source data (Registro informatico dei protesti [computerised register of protests], prejudicial formalities, insolvency procedures, Registro Imprese, Catasto [land register]), the same data that a third party carrying out the verification would see. Veryfy does not access credit information systems (CRIF/EURISC, Experian, CTC) nor the Centrale dei Rischi of the Banca d'Italia [Bank of Italy central credit register]: the result is not equivalent to a credit file from those systems, which the data subject may request directly from the respective operators, and it neither anticipates nor replaces the decision of a bank or lender.
3. Price, invoicing, payment
Prices are expressed in euros, VAT included where not otherwise indicated, and are those shown at the time of purchase. Payment is made via Stripe; the report is generated only after payment confirmation, not upon simple submission of the form. The expense is deductible as a professional cost for holders of a VAT number, according to the ordinary deductibility rules.
4. Right of withdrawal
If the purchase is made by a professional or a company in the exercise of its activity (VAT number holder), the protections provided by the Consumer Code (Codice del Consumo) for distance contracts, including the right of withdrawal, do not apply.
If the purchase is made by a consumer, the report is digital content supplied immediately after payment: by requesting immediate performance and acknowledging that the report is generated straight away, the consumer accepts to lose the right of withdrawal under art. 52 of the Consumer Code, pursuant to art. 59, letter o), of the same Code. Before payment the consumer must tick the specific checkbox, without which payment does not proceed; Veryfy keeps the date and time of acceptance together with the order.
5. Nature of the report and limits of liability
The report is a decision-support tool, built on public data collected from third-party sources as of the date indicated in each section. It does not constitute legal, tax or financial advice, nor a guarantee of the future solvency of the verified party: it describes verifiable facts and compares them with known thresholds, and does not make certain predictions.
We are not liable for inaccuracies present in the original public sources, nor for commercial decisions taken by the user on the basis of the report. The liability of the holder, where it exists by law, is in any case limited to the amount paid for the disputed report.
When the report analyses the ownership structure of a company (shareholders that are themselves companies, and their own shareholders), this analysis is carried out up to a maximum number of levels of investigation and checks per individual report, for technical and economic reasons. Reaching this limit, explicitly flagged in the report when it occurs, does not amount to having ascertained the absence of further controlling companies beyond the truncation point: it only means that the analysis did not proceed beyond that level. Likewise, for companies based outside Italy the available data are more limited than for Italian ones (no information on shareholding, beneficial owner or rating), as indicated case by case in the report. The user may not rely on the completeness of the ownership chain beyond what is explicitly shown in the report.
6. Permitted use of the report
The report is licensed for the exclusive use of the purchaser for its own internal assessments. It is prohibited to redistribute it, publish it, resell it or otherwise make it accessible to third parties other than those involved in the transaction for which it was requested, except in the specific case of sharing it with one's own accountant, lawyer or credit institution within the same transaction.
7. Sentinella (recurring monitoring)
The Sentinella subscription renews automatically with periodic charging until cancelled, manageable from the user area or by writing to info@veryfy.eu. Cancellation takes effect from the next billing period.
7 bis. Free anti-fraud check
With every product on a company (report, quick checks, due diligence file) the user may run, free of charge from the delivery page, the anti-fraud check: it compares the VAT number, email or website and the IBAN indicated by the user with public sources, in order to flag the typical signs of scams involving a false company identity. The check provides signals, not certainties: a result with no signals does not guarantee that a communication is authentic, and a risk signal does not establish that a scam has occurred. It does not verify who holds a bank account. Before making a payment to new coordinates, direct confirmation with the company remains necessary, through a contact point obtained from independent sources. The check is a free gift: it may be modified or suspended, and sources that do not respond correspond to the result "not verifiable". The user uses it only to verify communications received from the company that is the subject of the purchased product.
7 ter. Over-indebtedness report (Relazione sovraindebitamento)
The Over-indebtedness report (Relazione sovraindebitamento) is a party document, drawn up by Veryfy on the user's statements (not verified) and on public-source data relating to their tax code, checked against those statements. It is not legal advice, it is not the report of the crisis composition body (organismo di composizione della crisi, OCC) nor a plan or a proposal to creditors, it does not assess the admissibility, merit or convenience of any procedure and does not guarantee any outcome before the court. It must be reviewed, completed and, where appropriate, used by the professional appointed by the user, who remains solely responsible towards third parties for it. The document does not contain data from credit information systems nor from the Centrale dei Rischi, which the user may request free of charge as the data subject.
Whoever purchases the report declares that the tax code indicated is their own ("Verification on myself" purpose, §2), that the information entered is true and complete, and that they will use the document only for themselves: the report cannot be purchased for a family member or a third party. The regulatory references reported are read on the text of D.Lgs. 14/2019 (Legislative Decree 14/2019) as of the date indicated in the document: the version in force must always be re-checked by the professional.
8. Private area and invitation programme
The user may access a private area with their email, via a single-use link. The link and access are personal: the user does not share them with others.
The invitation programme is governed by its regulations, which form part of these terms. The credit obtained through invitations is a discount on subsequent purchases on Veryfy: it is not convertible into money nor transferable, and it is cancelled if the purchase that generated it is refunded or disputed.
9. Applicable law and competent court
These terms are governed by Italian law. For disputes with consumer users, the court of the place of residence or domicile of the consumer has jurisdiction; for professional users, the Court of Asti (registered office of the holder) has jurisdiction.
