Cerved Credit Direct: how it works, registration, login and buying reports

In short: Credit Direct is Cerved's online platform for buying individual reports and documents on companies, people, property, foreign companies and public bodies. First you create an account with “Registrati ora”, then you search for the entity by VAT number or tax code and pay by PayPal, bank transfer or card. The public pages do not show prices.

What Credit Direct is

Cerved describes Credit Direct as “the platform that lets you find information on companies and people, both in Italy and abroad, to assess in a simple and fast way the entities of interest and business counterparties”. On the platform, Cerved writes, you can “select and buy only the documents of interest to you”.

The cerved-online.com site, which many people search for as “Cerved online”, brings together three products: Credit Direct, Powerbiz (a subscription platform, with a free plan) and ESG Verify. This guide is about Credit Direct.

What you can buy on Credit Direct

According to the platform's public pages, the products are divided into these families:

The three reports on companies have different depths. The Standard Report is the most complete: adverse records, payments, financial statements, Cerved Group Score and Fido Certificato. The Entry Report gives a summary picture with a reliability score, Fido Certificato and a check for namesakes. The Basic Note presents the official data with a summary score, and Cerved indicates it for small businesses and low-risk transactions. For foreign companies Cerved warns that reports have “processing times and costs that differ depending on the geographical area”.

Registration and login: how to access

On every page of cerved-online.com there are two buttons at the top:

• “Registrati ora” (Register now) leads to the registration form at apps.creditdirect.cerved.com/registrazione. It is the required step to buy: Cerved sums it up as “create an account, search for an entity and buy the information report that suits you best”.
• “Accedi” (Sign in), for those who already have an account, leads to launchpad.cerved.com. It is the address to use to log in to Credit Direct.

After signing in, according to Cerved, “the VAT number or tax code is enough” to search for the entity and obtain the first report “in a few minutes”. The public pages do not list the data requested by the registration form: you see it when you sign up.

Payments and 12-month monitoring

The “la Piattaforma” (the platform) page lists three payment methods: PayPal, bank transfer or credit card.

It also mentions a monitoring service: for 12 months you receive personalised notifications on any significant change to the entities that interest you. According to Credit Direct's latest public price list, 12-month monitoring was included in the price of the company reports; check the current conditions on the platform before buying.

How much it costs: what is known about prices

Credit Direct's public pages do not show prices: to see them you have to register and enter the platform. The only public price list we know of is a Cerved document dated “Rev. 1 – May 2018”, which for Italian companies showed:

What Veryfy includes, by tier: Verification (19€) has the full check on the company, beneficial owner, shareholders and directors, estimated operating credit line, protests and insolvency signals, and comparison with companies in the sector. Decision (49€) adds properties registered in the company's name, company relationships and the reclassified financial statements. Investigation (99€) adds credit-risk algorithms developed by experienced risk managers and 12 months of Sentinella on the VAT number of the report. Sentinella does not cover protests, adverse records and proceedings. The estimated operating credit line is an estimate, not a payment guarantee.

In short: if you need people, property, foreign companies, public bodies or the adverse records of a company, Credit Direct covers areas that Veryfy does not handle. If you need a targeted check on an Italian company, with the price known in advance and without an account, Veryfy is more direct.
