Veryfy

Free anti-scam check: is the company asking you to pay really that company?

In short: enter the VAT number and, if you have them, the email or website they wrote to you from and the IBAN they are asking you to pay. In a few seconds we check the VIES register, the domain, the website and the account, and show you the typical signs of a fake supplier and of an IBAN change fraud. It is free: you only need an account with your email, no password and no card.

Run the check

What it checks

Only public and verifiable sources, with the source next to each result:

The check gives signals, not certainty that something is or is not a scam. It does not contain ratings, credit lines, protests, financial statements or shareholders: for those you need a report.

Possible fraud signals: verify before paying or signing

At least one check returned a result typical of false-identity scams. This does not necessarily mean it is one: before paying or changing bank details, verify by calling the person you know on a number found through independent sources, not the one given in the email.

Domain

  • Domain ageRisk

manifatturaesempio-srl.example was registered on 05/09/2026, 9 days ago. Domains created just a few days earlier are the classic tool of fake-supplier scams.

Source: RDAP of the domain registry

  • Protection against fake emails in its nameWarning

manifatturaesempio-srl.example publishes neither SPF nor DMARC: anyone can send emails that appear to come from this domain. Be wary of payment requests that arrive by email alone.

Source: Public DNS (SPF and DMARC records)

IBAN

  • Country of the accountWarning

The account is in another country (LT) for an Italian company: this is the typical pattern of the IBAN change scam. Confirm by calling the company on a number obtained from independent sources.

Source: Local calculation (country code of the IBAN)

The golden rule against the IBAN-change scam: if a supplier sends you new bank details by email, call them on a number taken from their website or from a previous invoice, never the one written in the email itself.

How it works

  1. Create the free account with your email: you receive a sign-in link, no password.
  2. Enter the VAT number and, if you have them, the email or website they wrote to you from and the IBAN they are asking you to pay.
  3. Read the result: each check has its own traffic light, the explanation and the source.

With a report it becomes a sentinel

With a report we repeat it for you every 7 days for 12 months

With every report or quick check on a company, the anti-scam check stays with you as a gift, in sentinel version: after the first check from the report page, we repeat it automatically every 7 days for 12 months and write to you if something gets worse, for example a domain reported for phishing, a new data breach or a different name in the VIES register.

Check a company from 19€

What we keep

Of the email we keep only the domain, never the address; of the IBAN only the country and the last 4 digits. Free checks stay in your account for 12 months, then we delete them.

Frequently asked questions

Is the anti-scam check really free?

Yes. You only need an account with your email, no password and no card. You can run up to 10 checks every 24 hours.

Does it tell me whether a company is reliable or whether it will pay?

No. The check answers a different question: is the person writing to you, or asking you for a payment, really that company? For a rating, an estimated operating credit line, protests and beneficial owner you need a report, from 19€.

Is it a free Cerved report?

No, and it does not use Cerved data. Veryfy is not affiliated with Cerved Group. The check uses public sources only: the VIES register, DNS, domain registries, the company's website and the public catalogue of breaches from Have I Been Pwned.

What happens if I buy a report?

The check stays with you as a gift and becomes a sentinel: we repeat it every 7 days for 12 months and write to you if something gets worse. You can stop it from the link at the bottom of every alert.
