Italian company report glossary for UAE readers

Updated to

In short: an Italian company report is in Italian and each term has a specific meaning. The company form (S.r.l., S.p.A.) is part of the legal name, the visura is the register extract, the bilancio the annual financial statements and the liquidazione giudiziale a procedure of the Italian insolvency code. This glossary maps the terms to a UAE reader's vocabulary.

A naming difference to remember

U.AE says a UAE trade name must be followed by the acronym of the legal form, such as LLC, and not contain names of religions, governing authorities or external bodies (U.AE: steps to start a business on the mainland). Italian names carry the form too, as S.r.l. or S.p.A.; always compare the whole name with the register.
